How to Use Your Personal Walker

Before you go on your way and start using the mobi personal transporter, it’s important to practice standing up, walking, turning, and sitting down on the device first. Please take note, these are just general guidelines and do not replace the advice or instruction of a medical professional.

  • Standing Up: Always engage the brakes before attempting to stand up from a seated position with your walker. Place your toes directly below the edge of the chair as you prepare to stand. Make sure your weight is equally dispersed between the handlebars, lean forward, and use your legs to stand.

  • Sitting Down: Stand directly in front of the personal walker with your legs touching the back of the seat. In a slow and steady manner, bend forward as you lower your bottom on to the chair. The brakes should be engaged the entire time until you are ready to move.

  • Moving: Take the device’s brakes off and gently roll it in a forward motion at a pace you are comfortable with. If you feel off balance, shorten your step, do not lengthen it.
